We offer Fitness Kickboxing classes for people of all skill levels. Our fitness kickboxing classes include kicking and punching for an intense and highly effective workout.
You’ll start the class with a warm up and stretches led by one of our coaches. From there, we will move onto shadow boxing and/or drills. Then, our instructors will teach you combinations step-by-step practice with a partner or on the bags. At the end of the class, we finish off with a cool down or sit ups followed by stretches.
At Tiger Shark you will learn how to properly throw punches and kicks in the correct form. This ensures that your striking is efficient, and that you are avoiding injury.
We do not offer live sparring in class, but have a strong focus on proper form and learning how to defend punches.
Fitness Kickboxing is a fun and exciting way to remain active, and has many benefits. Men, Women, teens and children (ages 10 and above) can learn valuable skills from joining our fitness kickboxing classes.
For your first class, dress in athletic wear! We suggest that girls wear a t-shirt and athletic leggings. Boys should wear a t-shirt, spats, and shorts. To keep feet clean off of the mat, please bring slides or flip flops.
If you have hand wraps, boxing gloves (not MMA gloves) and shin guards, bring them as well. And of course, bring water!
We Require our students to wear our kickboxing uniform, which includes a Marcelo Mattos/Carlson Gracie Team rash guard and spats. For boys, we require that our kickboxing shorts are worn.
It is important to have the basics in terms of kickboxing gear to stay protected. This includes hand wraps, gloves, and shin guards.
